Purchased this product earlier 2010 and have used it on every dive so far. It has been down to 85' with no issues. It does use a little too much battery but you do get 4 and a charger with the package so never had an issue there either. Where my rating loses a star is on the flash. The one on the camera is a little weak for anything under 50'. If they could throw in a cheap strobe this little camera would make a lot of people a lot happier. But, its a great product for the price. Just look at the pics I uploaded and judge for yourselves. By the way, I didn't use any special settings. I just pointed and shot on auto mode and used Google Picasa to edit the brightness and colors a little, that's it.

I was afraid to buy this camera because the reviews weren't too great but finally decided, what the heck? I wouldn't expect too much for $139 for all I would get including shipping. It was incredible though! I made movies and took pictures at 90+ feet below and never had an issue with the camera. It's easy to operate in both photo image and video mode and did a really great job. It didn't eat up batteries as someone had said it does but, then again, I did as recommended on the rechargables--I'd run them down thoroughly the first couple of times I used them to insure the worked to the maximum. I love this camera and would recommend highly.

There are comments regarding the quality of the pictures with the camera. I will agree that is the case only in the long distance realm. However, I do not believe it is intended for long shots. I spent a week on Maui and took the camera snorkeling and scuba diving. It is easy to use, takes fine pictures if the subject is within 30 feet and the water clear. The water was very clear and some of the pictures I took appeared as if the subject fish and turtles were suspended in air, and not water. If you are taking pictures for the memories and not for professional reasons and realize the benefits of a digital camera, this is the camera for you. With the 4G card and the rechargeable batteries included in their package deal, I have no complaints. The shipping container was well packaged and the camera arrived just in time on short notice and express shipping. And the video? I put the camera under water just to record the whales singing.
